Our church’s first ever international mission trip was to be to Russia in a partnership with TEAR, The Evangelistic Association of Russia. At the last minute our missionary asked us if we’d be willing to go to Ukraine instead. We agreed and it’s been a God thing ever since. We went in 2008, partnering with Pukhova church and working in an orphanage. We returned in 2010, working in the same orphanage, but also were introduced to Obolon Church. We partnered with them and with TEAR in 2011 to bring Sunday schools to Ukraine. That was incredible to see. In 2013 we expanded our ministry to western Ukraine and partnered with “God’s Love” church in L’viv, working in a school, shelter, and special needs orphanage. We were to return in 2014 with our praise band for a week of evangelistic concerts, but the political unrest has kept us from our appointed time, but we hope to return shortly. We have already been asked to return in 2015 with Josiah Venture to run a youth camp as well as return to continue our work in the shelter, school, and orphanage. As long as it is safe, we will continue our ministry there. David Rogers or Susan Buchanan are our current team leaders for the current trips to Ukraine.
