FAITH, Inc. and Clayton Baptist Church present

Sunday, March 4 | 12:20-3:00pm
As a provider of programming and services for children and youth, Clayton Baptist Church can play a critical role in protecting the lives of children and youth. We can help put an end to child sexual abuse by implementing a comprehensive child protection program and training your staff, childcare workers, and adult volunteers.
Ask any congregation that has experienced a case of sexual abuse and they will tell you that knowing what they know now, there is NO amount of time that would have been too great to spend on prevention and educating their members.
Clayton Baptist Church has the opportunity to set a new standard within our community. Who better than Clayton Baptist Church to make the commitment to be stewards of the precious children in our care. We can be a leader to our community as well as a leader among other churches by setting a higher standard and showing that we will do whatever it takes to keep children safe when they are with us.
In Georgia:
- Every day, over 36 children are the victims of confirmed abuse or neglect.
- 207 incidents of child abuse and neglect are reported daily.
- 60 children died from abuse and neglect in 2007.
- 13,795 children came through the foster care system during state fiscal year 2010.
FAITH’S Power House for Kids provided:
- Services to an average of 32 new cases per month.
- 368 forensic interview and child sexual assault exams.
- 2,088 hours of therapeutic services for child abuse victims.
Nationally:
Experts estimate $104 billion is the annual cost resulting from child abuse and neglect.
Plan now to invite your SS Classes and fellow church members to attend this very special program. We owe it to our family, friends and community to speak out and begin to hold abusers truly accountable!
